Tryton: Scope

Tryton is a pure open-source ERP (GPL) without a paid enterprise edition and emerged in 2008 as a fork of TinyERP, the predecessor of Odoo. Unlike Odoo, Tryton does not follow an open-core model but provides its full feature set as open source.

Tryton is developed by the Tryton Foundation and a consortium of several companies and first appeared in 2008 as a fork of TinyERP. The three-tier system, written in Python, uses PostgreSQL as its database and has a small but stable community. Cloud operation is provided by third parties.
