Swiss QR-bill

The QR-bill is the Swiss payment standard in force since 2020, using a machine-readable QR code for the payment slip.

QR-bill: Not to be confused with

A QR-bill is NOT the same as eBill. The QR-bill replaces the former red and orange payment slips with a paper or PDF document carrying a QR code, eBill delivers the invoice directly into e-banking. Many providers support both in parallel.

Swiss financial infrastructure operator SIX introduced the QR-bill as the successor to the former red and orange payment slips, with a machine-readable Swiss QR Code bundling reference number, amount and account details into a single field (Source 1). For ERP systems that means generating invoices with a valid QR code and automatically matching incoming payments to open items using the reference number.
